The 1911 Pistol Isn't The Only Semi-Auto

The 1911 Pistol, isn't the only Semi-Auto in town. Personally my favorite .45 handgun is the Sig Sauer® Model P220. The P220 is an original. What makes the SIG SAUER® my choice? It's the choice of elite shooters around the world, and the smart choice for anyone. I carry it because of a hard-earned reputation for getting everything right – design, materials, precision manufacturing, ergonomics, function, accuracy, reliability, durability.

In 1985, when SIG began to distribute the P220 semi-automatic. Folks familiar with firearms knew that the P220 was one to watch. I bought one.

The traditionalist go for the 1911s and I like shooting-em but, all that stuff hanging of-em. I know it's ridiculous but all that safety stuff worries me. Heck, in a bad situation I could whip one of those rascals out and forget to click off safety and what if I didn't drip it just so. My best safety for carry is my trigger.

Don't get me wrong, 1911's are great Pistols, I've never seen one I didn't want to own.____________________________
