Terminology is always a really big problem when it comes to understanding gun talk or instructions. Here is a list of terms and their definitions used on this web site. IT WILL CONTINUALLY BE added to AND we invite YOU to CONTACT US with suggested terms.

Terminology;___________

Double Action: A gun you do not have to cock to fire.

Double Action Only: A gun with no exposed hammer.

Double/Single Action: The first shot is fired double action, second is fired single, usually from a Semi-Automatic.

Single Action: A gun you must cock to shot.

Pistol: Semi-Automatic or Self-Loading.

Revolver: A gun with a Cylinder for loading, a Wheel-Gun
