Now-a-days you can't be involved with guns and not get involved politically. Politics becomes the IT and the THEY in conversations at the gun club or any place else gun enthusiasts gather. Why? Well we have a government that uses us. They, the politicians that form a government, need a cause, a something to protect the people from. "It's for the children." My word! How many times have you heard that one?

Politicians feel that people are tools that can be manipulated to further their form of government. Their form? One that gives them, in the end, total power over all. They think they know best. But, what is their best? Usually it comes in a shrouded device that covers a move or movement that takes from people their freedoms. This tact has been around for thousands of years in many forms. The Romans used "The Barbarians Are Coming" to further desires for more powers for politicians and generals that were in a horse where the winner gets to be Caesar, the one who saved the people from the rape and pillage of "The Barbarians". Sound familiar?

People relish giving their responsibility away and there is always a group willing to take it. Usually headed by a well put together leader that the group gradually loses control over and as the old saw goes absolute power corrupts absolutely resulting in a collapse. We must be mindful of whom we place our responsibilities with. Pay attention to the man behind the curtain because the wizard is a front. Look beyond the obvious. Be critical in a positive way with what ever you are considering dropping some of your responsibilities on. Chances are the Wizard wants your money to use against you to gain more power under the guise of a better _______ (fill in the blank). Global Warming Carbon credits, Green Energy, the only green in it is your bucks, extremist right wing bigots, bible thumping gun nut radicals and the all time biggy, RACiST. On the other side you have Commie, Lefty, LIB. Terms that can be hyped up by adding more words: radical, looney, crazy, and lots that we are not going to use here. Take a thought about the word "Progressive", a positive sounding word used as a term to shroud Liberalism. Could Conservatism have latched on to it? What do you think? Contact me with your thoughts.

Yours, Jeffrey
